Israel does not recommend its citizens to visit Azerbaijan
Counter Terrorism Bureau in the Prime Minister’s Office of Israel does not recommend its citizens to visit a number of countries, including Azerbaijan, because of the threat of a terroristic act, writes the publication Jerusalem Post.
“On the eve of High Holidays (Rosh Hashanah – Jewish New Year – ed.) and Easter the Bureau added Turkey, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, and Kenya into the list of countries, where there is a constant threat, and it is advised to avoid visits to given countries as much as possible,” reads the article.
According to Israeli authorities, September 11 is potentially the most dangerous day for terroristic acts. Besides the mentioned countries, Egypt, Jordan, Sudan, Somali, Djibouti, Mauritania, Pakistan and other countries also joined the “blacklist” of the Israeli Counter Terrorism Bureau.
Haqqin.az Azerbaijani news agency reminds that on September 19, 2011 Israeli Counter Terrorism Bureau warned its compatriots about visits to Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey. Later on, the Operations Division of the General Staff of IDF (Defense Army of Israel) published an order banning officers and warrant officers of IDF from traveling to 36 countries and regions, including Azerbaijan.
